Course Content
Mandatory Units
- Module 1 – Career Planning: In this module, you will delve into career planning by understanding your personal attributes and learning styles, identifying strengths and weaknesses relevant to your career choices, and learning to use career information effectively. You will also learn to recognise bias in career information and plan for your transition to the next stage of education, training, or work by completing a Career Action Plan, stating reasons for career choices, and preparing CVs or applications for specific opportunities.
Optional Units
- Module 2 – Managing Social Relationships: This module focuses on developing interpersonal skills for various social situations. You will learn to identify positive behaviours, understand the importance of positive interactions, and demonstrate effective communication techniques in both formal and informal settings.
- Module 3 – Managing My Money: You will gain knowledge and skills in financial management, covering banking services, borrowing money, saving, and budgeting. Through understanding household budgets, personal needs versus wants, and the significance of personal budgeting, you can enhance your financial literacy and management capabilities.

Upon enrolment, you will be assigned a personal tutor who will assist you through achieving successful and meaningful completion of your award. All of the electronic resources, workbooks and assignments required for you to complete the course will be emailed to you for you to commence working with at a time of your convenience. Your tutor will work with you to set targets and milestones that are achievable for you and will check in with you regularly, providing assistance whenever necessary.
On successful completion of your award, your assessor will coordinate with the awarding body for the issuance of your certificates, which will be promptly delivered to you.
