Jo Oldfield is one of Greater Manchester’s leading developers and deliverers of accredited care training courses.  She specialises in making the learning of Health and Social Care training accessible and relevant to each person, the service they represent, and ultimately the needs of the end-user.  She has a special personal and professional interest in the field of education for individuals with learning difficulties, highly regarded for her work in the fields of ADHD, Autism, complex mental health needs, age-related learning difficulties, transition services, and physical and sensory difficulties.  Jo is the lead developer of a learning curriculum for people with a range of disabilities, helping families and individuals to build independent living skills and ultimately achieve meaningful, happy and robust transition.

Jo has earned many distinguished qualifications through her 30 year career working in the Health and Social Care sector, having previously worked with GateWay, MENCAP, Rochdale Council, and as a freelance care sector consultant and care course trainer.  Jo is a published author of six books on the topics of ADHD and Autism, and has contributed a wealth of care related written resources and materials that are utilised commercially in the care sector, all with a focus on helping to improve the overall quality of care available in the UK.  Her experience and knowledge of her sector and topic has made her a valuable and highly regarded mock inspector of regulated care services.

Jo leads a very active and continuous evaluation-and-update programme of all Care Training Courses provided by Complete Training to ensure the courses are always up-to-the-minute with best-practice guidance and are fulfilling of all regulatory and quality standards.

Jo is also the founder of YANA, a web-based support resource for families with children who have complex needs, and supports many families on a voluntarily basis with help navigating the complex care systems and support services in place.
