Level 2 Adult Social Care Certificate

Our Level 2 Adult Social Care Certificate is an accredited qualification designed for professionals working in adult social care. This certification equips individuals with essential skills to competently provide person-centred, values-driven care and support to those accessing social care services. It is regulated by Ofqual, ensuring it meets all Care Certificate standards and competency requirements, including observational assessments.

About the Qualification

This qualification was developed in collaboration with the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) and Skills for Care, building upon the Care Certificate standards to offer a robust, portable Level 2 qualification. It provides both new and experienced care workers with formal recognition of their skills and dedication to quality care.

The qualification typically takes 4–8 months to complete, with experienced care workers often finishing in less time. It is available to eligible non-regulated care staff aged 19 and older.

This program establishes a professional baseline standard for adult social care, reducing repetitive training while recognising care workers as vital contributors to the sector.

Why Choose This Qualification?

  • Comprehensive Training: The program fully meets the requirements of the Care Certificate and extends into broader learning areas.

  • Employer Benefits: Employers can opt for this qualification as an alternative to the Care Certificate training, benefiting from claimable funding through the Learning and Development Support Scheme (LDSS).
  • Formal Recognition: For experienced workers, this qualification validates expertise, enhancing job satisfaction and retention.
