Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care Level 5

This level 5 qualification provides staff with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively manage practice and lead others in adult care services. This qualification is most suitable for those working in a managerial role in adult care settings who are looking to progress their career. It is also appropriate for managers who have not yet achieved a vocational qualification at Level 5.

This qualification is a mix of knowledge and performance and there will be assignments to complete as well as observations of working practices.

This Qualification is made up of a range of mandatory and optional units, relevant to the selected pathway and includes:

  • Governance in Adult Care
  • Continuous Improvement in Adult Care
  • Innovation and Change in Adult Care
  • Decision Making in Adult Care
  • Regulatory Processes for Adult Care
  • Team Leadership in Adult Care
  • Manage induction in health and social care or children and young people’s settings
  • Manage finance within own area of responsibility in health and social care or children and young people's setting

Average time to completion:

  • 6 - 12 months
