Our Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care (RQF) is an accredited qualification updated to the new criteria as of August 1st, 2023. This diploma provides you with essential knowledge and skills to effectively lead and manage teams, support staff development, and enhance overall performance.

Covering a diverse range of topics, some mandatory and others optional, it can be tailored to your role, staff team, and the individuals you support. Your tutor will guide you in selecting optional units relevant to your role.

To qualify, you must be employed or volunteering in the health and social care sector. This stand-alone diploma requires no additional assessments or off-the-job training. The course integrates theoretical and practical elements, offering flexibility in learning approaches, supported by specialist tutors.

  • Module 10: Infection Prevention and Control in Adult Care Settings: Understand infection types, transmission, and prevention methods, including risk assessment and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Module 11: Responsibilities and Ways of Working of an Adult Care Worker: Comprehend roles, responsibilities, and delegation in care settings, along with the importance of effective teamwork, partnership working, and adherence to health and safety protocols.
  • Module 12: Handling Information in Adult Care: Grasp legal requirements, policies, and procedures for information handling, including data security measures, confidentiality, and record-keeping practices.

Learn to develop positive risk assessment plans, support individuals in decision-making, and manage conflicts. Explore duty of care principles and strategies for utilising technology to reduce risks.
  • Module 27: Supporting Independence in the Tasks of Daily Living: Explore principles and strategies for promoting independence in daily living tasks. Learn to assess, plan, and provide support for meal planning and preparation, household management, and personal care. Develop skills in identifying changing needs and adapting support accordingly.

Upon enrolment, you will be assigned a personal tutor who will assist you through achieving successful and meaningful completion of your award. All of the electronic resources, workbooks and assignments required for you to complete the course will be emailed to you for you to commence working with at a time of your convenience. Your tutor will work with you to set targets and milestones that are achievable for you and will check in with you regularly, providing assistance whenever necessary.

On successful completion of your award, your assessor will coordinate with the awarding body for the issuance of your certificates, which will be promptly delivered to you.

This Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care is accredited to the Regulated Qualification Framework (RQF), the new framework for creating and accrediting qualifications in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (OfQual) regulates this qualification, examinations and assessments in England.
