Carrie Parr is a widely respected training consultant with over 28 years of experience in the education and social care sectors. Her career spans frontline care, senior leadership in further education, and the design and delivery of impactful training programmes for professionals working across health and social care. Educated to Master’s level, Carrie brings academic depth, practical insight, and a lifelong passion for learning to every aspect of her work.

Carrie specialises in training that covers the full breadth of Skills for Care’s mandatory standards, with additional focus on key specialisms such as dementia care, neurodiversity and learning disabilities, behaviours which challenge and PBS (Positive Behaviour Support), safeguarding children and adults, and mental health. She is also highly experienced in areas such as basic life support, moving and positioning with dignity, and single-handed care techniques. As a CQC compliance and quality improvement specialist, she provides expert support to care providers navigating regulatory requirements and striving for excellence in service delivery.

With a background in teaching and learning leadership and Ofsted compliance, Carrie has held senior quality roles within further education and adult learning. Her approach is rooted in person-centred principles and underpinned by a deep understanding of the challenges facing care organisations today. She has worked with vulnerable children and adults, led adult education programmes in colleges and higher education, and now channels her experience into freelance consultancy and training.

Carrie is known for her infectious enthusiasm, her ability to inspire confidence, and her unwavering commitment to raising standards across the sector. Her training sessions are vibrant, engaging, and outcome-driven—grounded in the latest research and designed to give every delegate practical tools to improve care delivery.
